Things are a little crazy around here!

Whew!
I'm sorry I haven't gotten to update my selling blog..
Everything I make is selling so fast that I can't get pictures fast enough!
Karen from My Colonial home is keeping me busy with the sheep orders
and
Tracey from Primitive Blessings MN. is buying everything I bring to her!
Thanks to all my loyal customers and Karen and Tracey.

These two turkeys take up a lot of my time when I'm not sewing, or should I say:

ALL of my time!

Amaya before the Homecoming parade on Friday

Kaylee Jo smiling away now days..

See those pumpkins on the bench in the window?
Those are my Rag stuffed Pumpkins I sold to Tracey on Saturday.Amaya & I peddled my wares on Saturday
once again to Tracey
in Stillwater, Mn at her Primitive Blessings shop.
We had a great visit and Amaya was thrilled that she got to meet
Tracey and point out what things I made in the shop.
She also got to write on paper & bags
behind the counter~ she felt special she told me.
Thanks again Tracey!
I left and went to target and had to drive by Primitive Blessings
to get home and the traffic was stopped so guess where I ended up?
Right in front of her shop.
I smiled ear to ear as I saw my pumkins
had already landed a spot in the front window!
Well I am off to get some house work done.
I start at Amayas school on Tuesday as a substitute cook!
Blessings to you~ Justina

a lot to share!

Hello there!
What a busy couple of weeks I've had again.
I have a few fun things to share before I get too behind again.
Here is sweet Kaylee Jo
(growing much everyday)
I went to the church garage sale yesterday and found this
Bread and Cake cabinet for a whoppin $5.

I found this wooden shelf at a TS for $3
(I lost the before pic)
I painted it black of course

Do you see what I see?

Someone back in the day decided to decorate this fly screen..
I of course saw the beauty underneath and ripped off the decoration.
Now I ended up with this LARGE fly screen!
Cost .25 at church garage sale

I've been doing a lot of shows this month
and decided one night that I needed
a sign to hang in my booth.
I found this cupboard door for $1
and added my personal touch of course!

One day out and about my lovely Sis Andy
found this little old wall shelf for $1
I was so mad that she found it first!
Well it had curvedsides underneath so that it hung on the wall..
and my dear sis didnt know what to do with it and
asked me if I wanted it..
OF COURSE!
So I bought it from her for $1
I of course cut the bottom curved part off
so it would sit flat and this is what I ended up with:

I used it last weekend for my register at a sale
and LOVE it!

Thanks Andy!
(You can purchase this lovely counter shelf for $65)
Just kidding

Now off to a special thank you..
Last week in while waiting at the driveway for Amaya
I got the mail.
Inside there was a package for ME!
I thought to myself
I didn't order anything, did I?
Well inside this unexpected package was
a note that read:
To dear Justina,
I have just seen the parcel you sent
to Karen and I thought it was sweet
that you added a gift,
so I thought I would send you a little
gift to let you know that
I think you are special!
XXX Robby
well what a gift indeed!
Here is Polly
I was so excited and filled with joy!
Thank you! Thank you!
She is now sitting in a gathering by my sink,
so I can see her every moment!

I truely Love her and it meant a lot to have recieved
such an unexpected gift form someone so special~
Thanks Robby!
Well I'm off to start my TO DO list.....

Smells like fall in here...

Well I've been busy this week..
To start out~
Babysitting this precious girl,
while her Mommy works..
How can I say no?
Amaya & Kaylee snuggling before school

a morning kiss..

We get to have her again tomorrow :0)

*********************
Last week I made a flock of sheep
for Karen at MY COLONIAL HOME

I got a suprise Thank You
in the mail from her the other day...
It smells so yummy!
Thanks Karen
I LOVE it!

***************************
Getting ready for 3 sales is tiring!
(but I LOVE it)
I have made a lot this week
so here is just a few things~

These are for sale until saturday.
if you are interested email me.
denucci4@yahoo.com

Here is Molly & LU LU
My prim Kats

A few Harvest shelf sitters

Crows in a sack hanger

Some SpOOky make~ do's

An angel (or 4)

And last but not least..
I have to tell you a quick story. .
When I sew, Amaya ALWAYS has to
make a pattern just like mine
and then help stuff, turn or whatever else I'm doing..
AND
she has to have one of whatever it is I'm making.
Well, I've gotten better at telling her
that she can't have one of each thing..
or I'll never make any money. LOL
Sunday I was working on Molly & LuLu
{two prim Kats}
sewing, cutting, ect. with Amaya.
Well ,she of course asked if she
could have one of them.. or both!
I had a better idea..
I took her into the sewing room and she picked out the
material for her KAT and then some for
the dress..
We both worked on her together all afternoon
(I Love it!)
Here is our finished product
"Rosie"
as Amaya named her for the rose print on her dress
She is 23 inches tall
and Rag stuffed for heirloom quality :0)

Sometimes my patience runs out,
but after i think about it~
I am truly blessed that I was given
the talent to be an artist
and I can show my daughter
the same.
I am touched that she wants to be like me
and wants to "have one" of everything I make.
She admires these things at the age of 6
Imagine what they'll mean to her at 60?

The little simple things are what matters to me.
Have a Blessed Day!
Justina

Some sheep & Art fairs

Hello everyone!
It's been awhile again.
Seems like the days are getting shorter and shorter...
Oh wait! They are.
*
I've been busy getting into the new routine
now that Amaya is back to school
and I have all day to craft..
oh yeah, then there is housework too.. LOL
*
Last week I sewed up some sheep for Karen over at
*
They were so good about flocking together
and marching 2 by 2 right into the box.
I'll kinda miss them!
Last weekend Mom, Amanda & I
did and art fair in Shell lake Wisconsin.
I found out about it on Monday and by Saturday
this is what I had put together~
Nothing fancy~ but I sure get a lot of compliments
because it smelled so good in here
and no one does primitives around here
I guess!

These are star pillows I did up (about 21" x 18")
with my own pattern..
And these chinelle pumpkins were a big hit!

I have 3 more art fairs in the next 3 weeks~
So I'd better get busy....

Fall Festival
Amery, Wi.
Saturday Sept. 19th
9~3
*

Heritage Days Festival
New Richmond, Wi.
Sunday Sept. 27th
11~5
To see pics of last year go here

We did this one lst year and It was AWESOME!

.........................................................................

Well off to get something done....

Lots of pictures!

Amaya was kind of nervous
for the first day of first grade
so she told me she wanted to draw
a heart on my hand and I could draw one on hers
so that we could think of each other all day... All ready to go!
Of course...
the JONAS BROTHERS backpack
(thanks Andy)

I brought her to school this morning
this was her most favorite thing about school today..
A DESK!

In front of her locker

She had a great day and was tired by 6pm
(but why was she still awake at 10 pm then?)
Of course I'd better ad some pictures of this sweet gal..

Nicci took this pic of her & Kaylee

awwwwww

sleeping.. what she does best~
except make my heart melt

Well that is it for tonight.
I'm almost finished with Amaya's room...
I Painted it light pink and got some
shabby/ vintage
going on in there but it works out great.
The things I have that don't match
my prim style ~ fit in there so lovely!
(Amaya says her room looks
like one you would find in a magazine)
Good night

Hurry up all ready!

Here I am sitting here at home
waiting for Nicci to go back to the hospital at 7 tonight...
her water broke this morning finally~
so we will see what happens.
They told her to come back at 7 to spend the night...
It has been a very LONG day...
sitting at home waiting for her to have this grandbaby!
This was her on Monday with some mild contractions...
Here is Amaya, Jabin and Evan "talking" to
Kaylee Jo
~telling her it's ok to come out now.
The Anxious "new Auntie" Amaya patting the baby

Amaya, Jabin and Evan

chillin' out in Baby Kaylee Jo's room..

Patiently waiting and making sure her new toys are ok for her to play with!

Uffda it's been a busy summer around here~
can't wait for "normal" to come back!
I'll post again with baby pics soon!

Nicci Class of 2009

Boy oh Boy have I been gone awhile...
I've been quietly visiting everyone, but have had a lot going on here.
Amaya had still been sick after her tonsils were out..
I think she finally kicked it!
I don't even know where to start with news, so I will start with the most recent:
Nicci Graduated last Saturday!
I'm so proud of her...
Here is Nicci on her first day of Kidergarden
Here is Nicci on her last day of school, last friday
Here she is during the ceremonyHere is Brandon (Nicci's boyfriend)
.... looking all relaxed
The Clyton High school
Class of 2009

Before the kids were handed their diplomas,
they all came out and gave their parents a rose...
Yes I bawled almost the whole ceremony!
After the ceremony we went to the Lake home
and
had a huge wonderful dinner.
Here is Nicci & Me
Nicci sittin' on Grampa Ted's lap..
She used to fit just right..
What happened?Me, Nicci & Amaya
(Dave had to work! arrrgh)
So we had a perfect day...
By the way I am excited to tell you ...
I am going to be a Grandma!
Of course I was shocked at first
(found out at Thanksgiving)
But life is good and we make what we can out of it~ right?
Baby Kaylee Jo is coming in August.
I'm just so very proud of Nicci and all she's been through~
to make it this far & graduate.
Amaya~ your lookin' better!
I promise I won't stay away forever now...
I've been working outside~
We have a graduation part at the end of June
LOTS of work to get done...

A redo & a smiling Girl!

I have just a few minutes to share my busy week with you...
Amaya is doing better day by day.
She says "Ouch" EVERY time she swallows..
(It is kinda funny)
Today she ate toast, cucumbers, and a salami sandwich
So I think she is doing better.
I am sending her to school for 1/2 day tomorrow~
just to see how it goes (and for some sanity!)
I've been playing 24 hour Nurse
for the last week and I'm tired LOL.
Last night we decorated some eggs
I wrote on some with a white crayon and she was impressed! While Amaya was resting this last week
I decided to redo their bathroom.
Graduation is coming soon and I need to get busy!
I didn't take before pictures
It would be embarassing!
Just imagine...
Neon/hunter orange walls with different
colored cirlcles on the walls.
(not my taste!)
We live in an older double wide home~
So you can imagine.....
For a cost of $40 for paint
This room is TRANSFORMED!
May I add I went "shopping in my bins of hand~dids"
and only spent $3 on the
cloth shower curtain at a Thrift store.
Painted the walls a light tan.
Bless our home sign by me!
Painted the mirror and the switch covers.
The "new" countertop" he he
was redone with kilz primer
and texured spray paint, then a clear coat.
I LOVE IT!
This wall cupboard I "had" in my stash of
"To do something with"
(cost me $1)
I painted it black added a lathe towel bar
and sanded it.
Added the .10 wreath,
a sheep done by "me"
and some other goods I found in my "stash"
(YES! I have lots of stashes around here...)

The Tin star I got from Dad & Linda for my birthday..
Oh yeah I painted the cabinets black and the doors and trim.

A smiling little girl in her "new" bathroom.
(ready to go to school I might add)

On top of it all...
Mom & I went to the barn on Saturday.
I picked up a free table & chairs from our friend Diane
and then met up with Dave at an auction....
Well needless to say, I bid on a table & chairs set
and WON!
But I had to have it.
( I still LOve freebies though)
Round tables don't fit well in our small space.

So the Free table & chairs ended up at Mom's.
Go here to see
And here is mine....
(I made the Valances this morning, just for this picture. LOL!)

I just had to add the bench too the table
(and I will probably paint it black)
But I am LEAVING the table alone!

(I am hinting on some new updated flooring before graduation)
HINT HINT

Have a great night
I'm off to get some rest.........

Tonsils are out!

Sunday Mom, Amaya & I
headed to Rochester for the big tonsil & adnoid removal
scheduled for Monday.
Amaya & I stayed at Dad & Linda's
and Mom & Amanda stayed at a motel 1 block away.
Linda made us all spaghetti supper & CAKE
to celebrate my birthday. (yum)
I had to have Amaya at the hospital at 9 am. Monday morning.

Here is NERVOUS Amaya & Amanda
playing on the waiting room computer.

Here she is all ready to go in...
(forgot to turn pic.. oops)
Here is Me & Amaya waiting to go into surgery..
She said I look "sillly"Here she is an hour after surgery eating her 1st freezie pop!
The surgery took about 45 min. and then wait and wait...
feeling a little better

Another with Amanda, Amaya & Me
Just ate some chocolate pudding..

This is how she feels so far....

Before surgery ~she asked the nurse
if she could keep her tonsils in a jar,
because she has a microscope at home and she wants to
inpect them... They of course said no~
But after surgery the nurse said
they took a picture of her tonsils
for her and here they are!

Talk about disgusting!
Last night she was all gung ho~ feeling great..
(pushing herself way too much and wanting to go to school!)
Today she is hanging low.. eating lots of ice cream & popsicles
and working on a scrapbook kit that
Dad & Linda got her...
She held that thing ALL the way home (4 hours)
...... dying to open it!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers...
Feel free to send her lots of cards in the mail :0)
(she LOVES to get mail)
She will be feeling great in no time ( I hope)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for me I am feeling better now.
I was feeling pretty good by Friday~
Happy Birthday to Me...
Today was my Birthday!
I celebrated most of it in bed with the flu...
Yes, I've been sick with the flu since Sunday~ Argh!
Dave & Amaya got me a dairy queen
strawberry cheescake blizzard cake
& pizza man for supper.
Nicci was at work so Dave, Amaya & I cuddled on the couch
and watched a movie.
Amaya & I topped off the night with an ice cream game
& I let her stay up an extra 20 minutes~ since it was my birthday.
She has made it 2 whole days at school.. with no fever... YAY!
Yesterday Dave brought home some Nyquil & DOVE chocolate
(a whole Bag!) what a guy :0)
Here is a few shots of our sale on Saturday:
This was my booth~
The other night Nicci was painting
and I remembered something I saw on Saturday..
A lady was face painting and painted eyes on a young boy~
I tried it out on Amaya..
See her eyes are closed? She thought it was the most funniest thing!
It is a little freaky looking.
Friday I am going with Mom to Stillwater to
Primitive Blessings to put some goods in her shoppe.
Then we are headed off to Rochester to meet our Blogging friend Ann
(she doesn't blog yet though! LOL )
Can't Wait...
Sunday I'm headed back down to Rochester with Amaya
So she can get them tonsils out on Monday.
Hope I get better by tomorrow~
I can't stand laying in bed for days...
I have been taking breaks from bed and checking up on everyone though.
YAY! I'm heading home...
Ok ~
I have had a good time here in New Mexico
but 9 days away from home and kids is TOO long!
We have the car packed and hittin' the road at 5 am.
Can't wait to get there.. It's a day and a half drive.
Amaya has been having a great time at Camp Gramma's
You've gotta check out the sheep she made ...
Like mother like daughter..
I hope Nicci is enjoying her peace and quiet at home.
I have enjoyed reading everyone's blogs this week..
It saved me from going INSANE!
With love~ Justina
Our Trip. . .
I've been able to get a few pics on here tonight..
I brought the laptop, but it old and not working so well.
We are having a good time here in New Mexico~
but
I AM READY TO COME HOME
(ready to get crafting too!)
We leave Friday morning to be home Saturday mid afternoon.
Dave and I
I was able to get some stichin' done..
on the way down here.
The guys are telling me to coffe stain my stuff
... and cook it in the microwave!
I'll have a day and a half in the car
on the way home to get more done..
Or hotel room is a total joke..
Dave and I didn't fit on the rather SMALL bed
and the middle sunk to the floor.. so we put the bed sideways
and added the other empty bed..
so now we have a SUPERSIZED bed..
.. Notice the metal long piece in the closet against the wall?
That is the piece that SHOULD be in the middle of the bed..
so it doesn't sink to the floor!
We went to the pistachio farm/vinyard yesterday
This was my supper last night
a burrito and a WHOLE bottle of wine
(no wonder I woke up with a headache today)
Notice I had to use the hotel plastic cup? LOL
Some mountains while going up to Cloudcroft
FIL Gary and MIL Mardelle
White Sands 275 square miles of sand
We went on Monday
Pretty windy!
Dave JUMPED off this dune!
see where he landed and then rolled the rest of the way!
A message for Amaya
To see what Amaya has been up to at Camp Gramma's
AWWWW.... how cute?
Looks like snow.. but I had socks and shoes off.
These babies are high!
my kind of sledding going on
again
(oops)
another awwww!
And my message
written in the sand forever...
(another awwwwww)
Well that's it for pics
Nothing Prim down here at all!
Can't wait to get home either
I miss everyone
